History

An Oasis of Peace with History

The origins of our house date back to the 19th century. The privately managed Hotel Fontenay in Bad Wörishofen, also affectionately referred to as the “petit château,” stands for refined luxury, state-of-the-art comfort, and an atmosphere that invites you to relax. Located in the heart of the Kneipp town, the hotel draws from the rich tradition of the Kneipp teachings, which have been recognized and awarded by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.

The history of the house is shaped by a passion for hospitality. The Holzbock family has made it their mission to create a place that equally appeals to the body, mind, and soul. From the elegant lobby with a fireplace to the soothing wellness area, Fontenay offers space for relaxation and recovery at a high level.
